Chapter 02 — Cities
The collection
The urban chapters of the American atlas: bridges, skylines and streets photographed in real light. The anchor of this collection is Colton Duke's golden-hour photograph of the Brooklyn Bridge and the Lower Manhattan skyline — a fully verified New York frame. The remaining city photographs are shown with their exact locations marked as unconfirmed until they can be verified.
Authentic Photography
Genuine on-location photographs. Where an exact location could not be confirmed, the caption says so rather than guessing.

Editorial
City photography earns its place here the same way landscape work does: a real camera, a real place, and an honest caption. One photograph in this chapter currently meets our full verification standard — location and photographer confirmed from the image source.
We would rather show four honest captions than a wall of invented ones. As more city photographs are verified, they will join this chapter.
